Well, testing is done and I am officially a 2nd degree black belt! I tested for my 2nd in Nelson BC, along with J. Byker who was testing for her 1st degree. It is quite an experience to test alongside one of your students!
Grandmaster Begley, who is known for his fearsome personality, came up from Florida to act as Head Examiner. With 23 students testing, he made it test that all would remember for a very long time, if not, for the rest of their lives.
Testing is an important part of the Tae Kwon Do journey.They are designed to test what we already think we know, and challenge us in what we don’t. From white belt, to Black Belt, each test builds onto a solid foundation that was created by Grandmaster E. Sell in 1967, which has made our association “The Best of the Best”.
