Words hurt. Bullying isn’t just physical, but words can inflict pain that doesn’t heal, like a bruise. I saw this on FaceBook today and wanted to share it. Taekwondo belt promotion in Regina Our new satellite school on March 15th, 2014 saw our very first Tae Kwon Do belt promotions at Regina Christian Tae Kwon Do. Lyric Theatre hosts an evening of Tae Kwon Do

The Lyric Theatre here in Swift Current saw our Xtreme Youth Challenge giving a demonstration of the things that they have been learning in Tae Kwon Do My students made me very proud of them and what they have accomplished in a very short period of time. From performing Form 1 (Taegeuk il Chong) to weapons (bo staff, nunchuks and sais) to free sparring, they gave the audience an eyeful of what kids can do! Read more…

2nd Dan Black Belt testing

Well, testing is done and I am officially a 2nd degree black belt! I tested for my 2nd in Nelson BC, along with J. Byker who was testing for her 1st degree. World’s Worst Martial Arts Demo?

World’s Worst Martial Arts Demo This video is making its rounds, causing people to laugh and make Tae Kwon Do look bad.  Unfortunately, he displays how not to break a board. After watching it, I felt: a)  mostly sorry for his students that had to watch him embarrass himself and the sport and b) saddened that someone wearing a 3rd Dan belt  showed such bad form. News for May 2013

Testing and Self Defense Last Friday we had testing for Yellow up to Green Belts. Everyone performed wonderfully, and left everything they had on the do-jang floor. Orange Belts that were testing for Green in particular had a grueling hour and a half test with a good half hour on sparring alone. A job well done to everyone!
