Breaking boards to end slavery

Our students have been learning about the part of our student oath that says we are to be “Champion of freedom and Justice.”  We have been learning a little bit about slavery and how adults and many children are being unfairly treated and don’t have their own freedom.  International Justice Mission (IJM) is an organization that investigates, rescues, and rehabilitates victims of oppression.

There goal is raise awareness for this important cause, IJM estimates that for each “rescue mission” it cost $4,500, and each rescue mission has the potential to rescue many slaves at once.

On April 12, 2014 Swift Current Christian Tae Kwon Do stood up for justice. Our students broke boards to raise money for others. Our students raised $4500.00 to free people being from enslavement.
