Our first seminar is now over. Covering three days of intense martial arts training, Master Siminoff put our students through the paces both physically and mentally. It gave me as an instructor an opportunity to review more closely, my students, their progress and different ideas to incorporate into my own lesson plans.

As an instructor, I need to keep learning. I need to push my limits so my students can identify with me. If I dont push hard, neither will they. I learned a lot this weekend. I even had a great chance to spar with one of my students during a look at tournament sparring . He called me out and with a smile on my face, I accepted the challenge. I like that about my students, they do like to push themselves and me.

One of the great moments was when Master Siminoff broke 4 slabs of concrete!

Or when during sparring, I asked a very sweaty teenage student if he was having fun and he had the biggest smile on his face.

Let me know what you thought about the seminar! what was your favorite moment? Anything you would like to see in future seminars?

I really enjoyed the seminar. It was a first for me but I am looking forward to doing it again. I found Master Siminoff to be very clear in his explanations and very easy to follow. Learned a lot and wish I could absorb it all and make it all work out in every class but that will take time. Thanks for a great weekend, Master Siminoff and Mister Voysey. Can’t wait for the next one!
